Firbush is a large comfortable log-cabin which constitutes Edinburgh University's outdoor centre. It is located on the banks of Loch Tay, about 2 hours away from Edinburgh.

A wide range of activities are available including: windsurfing, kayaking, open canoeing, mountain biking, sailing, hill-walking, orienteering and in winter cross country skiing. All the equipment is provided. Instruction is available for all activities from Les and Owen, the Firbush Chiefs, and a band of other instructors (some of whom are in the windsurfing club), for beginners and experts alike.
The club goes up to Firbush in Week 2 of term 1. Demand is usually high, so be quick to get your name down! The cost is about £70.
Look at the Firbush website for more information.
What to bring on the trip?
There is a bar, so drink does not need to be packed, but bring some cash as there is no ATM. Food is provided, too, but bring your own snacks (chocolate and crisps).
